CDC report details Zika impact on births

About 1 in 10 pregnant women with a confirmed infection of Zika in 2016 had a fetus or baby with a brain abnormality or other neurological disorder associated with the virus, federal health officials said Tuesday. The risk for birth defects was even higher, about 15 percent, among mothers infected during the first trimester, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
