Food-safety certification available

LUMBERTON — ServSafe food safety certification training has been scheduled for August and September by the North Carolina Cooperative Extension.

The training will take place at O.P. Owens Agriculture Center, located at 455 Caton Road in Lumberton. Classes are scheduled for 8:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.Aug. 29, 30 and 31 and Sept. 5. The review is scheduled for 8:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.Sept. 12 and the exam from 8:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 13.

The registration deadline is Aug. 18.

The fee is $125, payable by check or money order to Robeson County Cooperative Extension. The fee can be mailed to Cooperative Extension, P.O. Box 2280, Lumberton, N.C., 28359 or deliver to the Extension Center.

Anyone who has participated in the past in this training and needs to retest can do so on Sept. 13. The retesting fee is $50 and would need to be paid, using check or money order, by Aug. 18.
